Substance Abuse Poisoning Registry development Based on Lessons Learned from a Pilot Implementation

Introduction: Substance abuse has been recognized as a national problem in which poisoning with pharmaceutical drugs, opioids and alcohols is common Iran. Due to the lack of comprehensive information system related abuse, despite systematic health services, achieve this goal, purpose research was develop registry for substance - Urmia University Medical Sciences.Material Methods: This practical development study that done 4 phases. In first phase, minimum data set (MDS) were determined. second registration designed. The third phase includes implementation system, finally, evaluated by QUIS questionnaire.Results: A total 58 elements 6 classes essential from point view experts. implemented on ASP.NET platform using C# language SQL Server database department Taleghani Hospital Urmia. evaluation usability showed score obtained main categories terms 8.52, screen 8.36, ability learn 8.8, overall functionality 8.04, user interface 7.98, interaction 7.73 respectively.Conclusion: Considering capabilities registering poisonings caused drug it seems necessary implement form network, order make interventions control while resources efficiently.
